Michael “Mick” Hickey, COO of Ryanair, has filed his resignation, several media report. In recent weeks the Irish low-cost airline was forced to cancel thousands of flights due to a rostering issue with the pilots.
Hickey was in charge of pilots and ground staff, due to insufficient staff Ryanair was forced to cancel thousands of flights. He worked thirty years for the Irish airline, since 2014 as chief operations officer.
