The deadline for the Brexit has now been set for March 2019, but the airlines need time to schedule flights, O’Leary would like to have clarity at least 6 months before this deadline.
In an interview on BBC Michael O’Leary said:
If we don’t have the right to fly, we will be cancelling those flights. It’s in the European interest, certainly the European airlines, who are actively lobbying against this, to not have an agreement.
But the British people will be facing … when you’re booking your holidays for Summer 2019 the choice would be drive to Scotland or get a ferry to Ireland.
