Between 21 and 25 August, Portuguese union SNPVAC will go on strike after disagreements with Ryanair on, among other things, vacation pay and days off. Belgian unions CNE and Pulse today urged their members not to break the five-day strike in Portugal.

Unfortunately we had to conclude that Ryanair decided to import the conflict that is going on in Portugal to Belgium. That flights were cancelled because of the strike in Portugal will nevertheless depart from Belgium or The Netherlands.

We cannot agree with this state of affairs and will therefore call on our members not to staff these flights.

CNE / ACV PULS will cover anyone who refuses to break the strike in Portugal that day with this strike notice.

We regret that Ryanair does not want to resolve the social conflict in Portugal at the negotiating table and opts for conflict negotiation. Together with this strike notice, we will request urgent conciliation in the Commission Paritaire.
