Kris Peeters, Belgian Minister of Consumer Affairs, has filed a suit against Ryanair for the cancellation of many flights : he will impose a non-compliance penalty if Ryanair continues to cancel flights without giving customers the proper information.
“Ryanair doesn’t comply with the Belgian law on fair trading practices, for example the airline has to inform customers in French or Dutch and not only in English“, Kris Peeters explained to the Belgian press. “Furthermore Ryanair doesn’t provide sufficient information on passenger rights in case of a flight cancellation.”
