Ryanair today (23 August) confirmed that it has reached an agreement with Irish FORSA union, representing the Irish based pilots. The negotiation session took approximately 22 hours and went until late at night. “The low-cost airline will take these proposals to its Board in due course and only after the pilots have voted on the agreement,” the airline said in a statement.
The row between Ryanair and its Irish based pilots has, thus far, resulted in five days of strikes. Kieran Mulvey, a mediator that was assigned has asked both sides to refrain from further comment until the ballot has concluded.
