This summer, RwandAir will offer five flights a week between Kigali, Brussels and London Gatwick, its only two destinations in Europe.
From July 5 to September 20, 2019, the national airline of Rwanda will offer five flights per week between its home base in Kigali and the airports of Brussels and London-Gatwick. The flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured for 30 passengers in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 223 in Economy.
The two new rotations will be triangular, with scheduled departures from Kigali on Friday and Sunday at 09:30 to arrive at 18:10 in Brussels and 19:20 in London; the return flights will take off from Gatwick at 21:00 to land in Rwanda the next day at 06:40 (according to Airlineroute). Passengers originating in Brussels will not be able to board these flights, in line with British regulations.
The other three flights per week are scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with an A330-300 (replacing the A330-200 that was scheduled last summer) taking off from Kigali at 08:00 to arrive at 16:50 in Belgium, leaving Brussels at 17:40 to land at 17:40 in Great Britain. The return flights leave London Gatwick at 19:10 and Brussels Airport at 22:00 to land in Rwanda the next day at 07:00.
RwandAir has no competition in London and competes at Brussels with Brussels Airlines – with whom it nevertheless shares its codes.
