Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, has announced its first daily passenger flights to London Heathrow starting October 26, 2025, marking a major milestone toward its official 2025 debut.
The flights, operated by a leased Boeing 787-9 named Jamila, are part of the airline’s “Pathway to Perfect” readiness programme, aimed at fine-tuning operations before full service begins. Flights will depart Riyadh at 03:15 and return from London at 09:30 local time, with Dubai to be added as the next destination.
Alongside the launch, Riyadh Air introduced Sfeer, a community-driven, gamified loyalty programme that lets members share points and status progress with friends and family — a first in the airline industry. Early enrollees, called “Founders”, will enjoy priority access to future flight bookings, exclusive experiences, and ongoing rewards.
CEO Tony Douglas emphasised that the London flights represent the realisation of Riyadh Air’s Vision 2030 mission to connect Saudi Arabia globally, while Sfeer reflects a new, digital-first approach to loyalty that embodies Saudi generosity and innovation.
