Riyadh Air has launched daily nonstop flights between Riyadh and Mumbai, marking its eighth destination in just eight weeks since the Saudi carrier began operations on 10 June 2026.
The inaugural flight RX0697 arrived in Mumbai on 4 August, with the route operated by the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The new daily service links King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai.
The airline said the new route responds to strong demand between Saudi Arabia and India, one of the Kingdom’s largest international aviation markets. According to OAG, Saudi Arabia ranked as India’s second-largest international market in July 2026, offering around 308,000 scheduled seats, equivalent to 4% of India’s international capacity.
The Mumbai service is expected to support growing business, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries while providing passengers with onward connections through Riyadh to destinations across the Middle East and Europe.
Riyadh Air operates the route with its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. The aircraft offers Panasonic’s latest Astrova inflight entertainment system, onboard Wi-Fi, wireless audio connectivity and a range of Saudi-inspired onboard products.
Mumbai becomes the latest addition to Riyadh Air’s rapidly expanding international network. The Indian financial capital handled a record 55.5 million passengers in 2025, including 16.3 million international travellers, with the Middle East representing its largest overseas market.
Passengers booking the new service can also enrol in Sfeer, Riyadh Air’s loyalty programme, which offers benefits including a Best Offer Guarantee, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and priority access to future route launches for founding members.
