Riyadh Air increases Airbus A350-1000 order to 31 aircraft

Share

Riyadh Air has firmed up an order for six additional Airbus A350-1000s, increasing its total firm commitment for the type to 31 aircraft.

The order is part of the airline’s original agreement for up to 50 A350-1000s announced in 2025. Riyadh Air will become the first Saudi airline to operate the A350-1000, using the aircraft to support its long-haul expansion and its goal of serving more than 100 international destinations by 2030 as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy.

The A350-1000 will complement Riyadh Air’s growing widebody fleet, offering long-range capability of up to 18,000 kilometres (9,700 nautical miles) and improved fuel efficiency. According to Airbus, the aircraft delivers a 25% reduction in fuel burn, operating costs and CO? emissions compared with previous-generation widebody aircraft.

At the end of June 2026, the Airbus A350 family had accumulated 1,595 firm orders from 68 customers worldwide.
