On this 16th June 2017, Qatar Airways, the Global Launch Customer of the A350 XWB, has started Airbus A350 services to Belgium, with the new state-of-the-art aircraft being deployed on its Doha-Brussels route.
The Airbus A350-941 registered A7-ALA departed Doha Hamad International Airport as QR193 and landed on schedule at Brussels Airport.
Before the much expected landing of the A350 we listened to the Qatar Airways country manager for Belgium and a Brussels Airport representative.
The A350 replaces a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on the 8x weekly route. This means a serious increase of capacity. Qatar Airways has equipped its A350 with 36 business seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, fully flat bed of 203cm, 43cm screens, etc. The aircraft also has 247 economy seats in a 3-3-3 configuration with a 81cm pitch and 27cm screens.
