Qatar Airways has confirmed that its scheduled flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the continued closure of Qatari airspace.
The airline said operations will only resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority confirms that the country’s airspace has fully and safely reopened. An additional operational update is expected on 8 March at 09:00 Doha time (06:00 UTC).
In the meantime, Qatar Airways plans to operate a limited number of repatriation flights on 7 March from Hamad International Airport after receiving temporary authorisation for a safe operating corridor. The flights are scheduled to depart to London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Madrid, Rome Fiumicino and Frankfurt.
According to the airline, priority for these flights has been given to stranded passengers travelling with families, elderly travellers, and those with urgent medical or compassionate needs. Seats were directly allocated by Qatar Airways to affected passengers.
The carrier emphasised that these services do not signal the full resumption of normal commercial operations, and passengers are asked not to travel to the airport unless they have received official confirmation of their assigned flight.
Qatar Airways added that it is working continuously to arrange additional relief flights where operationally possible, while affected passengers will be contacted directly with updated travel information.
Passengers with confirmed bookings between 28 February and 15 March 2026 may change their travel date free of charge within 14 days of the original departure, or request a refund of the unused ticket value, the airline said.
