Qatar Airways has inaugurated a twice-weekly service linking Doha with Bogotá and Caracas, adding Colombia and Venezuela to its network. Operated by Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, the triangular route brings the airline’s presence in the Americas to 17 destinations.
Flights operate on Wednesdays and Sundays under flight number QR783, travelling from Doha to Bogotá, continuing to Caracas and then returning to Doha. The routing provides a non-stop outbound connection from Doha to Bogotá and a non-stop return from Caracas to Doha; passengers travelling from Doha to Caracas stop in Bogotá.
The airline says the schedule offers connections through Hamad International Airport to destinations including Australia, China, Japan and South Korea. Its winter network covers more than 170 destinations worldwide.
The launch also follows an expansion of Qatar Airways’ partnership with LATAM to include LATAM Airlines Colombia. Qatar Airways plans to place its code on LATAM-operated services connecting Bogotá with 17 Colombian destinations, including Medellín, Cartagena, Cali and San Andrés, extending onward travel options beyond the capital.
