Qatar Airways is increasing capacity between Doha and Dubai, gradually expanding its schedule from two to five daily flights as demand for travel between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates continues to grow.
The airline added a third daily flight on 5 June, with a fourth frequency scheduled to launch on 15 June. A fifth daily service will be reintroduced later during the summer season, bringing the route to up to 35 weekly flights. Services will be operated using Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
The expansion marks the latest step in Qatar Airways’ restoration of regional operations. The carrier resumed flights to Dubai and Sharjah in April and restarted services to Abu Dhabi in May, rebuilding its presence in the UAE market.
Qatar Airways currently serves more than 20 destinations across the Middle East and says it plans to continue expanding its network as it works towards operating more than 160 destinations worldwide by the end of the summer season.
The increased Dubai schedule is expected to improve connectivity for both business and leisure travellers while strengthening links between two of the Gulf region’s busiest aviation hubs.
