Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of SATS Ltd., has won a contract to handle Qatar Airways Cargo operations at Liège Airport starting May 1, 2026.
Under the agreement, WFS will provide ramp and warehouse handling for Boeing 777 freighters operating into Liège from Doha and other major global cargo markets.
The deal reinforces WFS’s leading position at Liège Airport, where it now serves 11 international cargo airlines and supports the airport’s role as a key European hub for freight and e-commerce.
Liège continues to see strong cargo growth, with volumes rising 14% in 2025 to 1.32 million tonnes and a further 15.6% increase in the first quarter of 2026, alongside a 7% rise in aircraft movements—highlighting sustained demand in the air cargo sector.
