Journalist Azad Essa tweeted how some passengers -not wearing their seatbelt- were tossed around in the cabin. 3 passengers were taken to hospital, 2 of them were released after a period of observation.

After the diversion, Qatar Airways sent a replacement aircraft to the Azores to pick up the stranded passengers. Some passengers started to get upset as they felt “abandoned by Qatar Airways”.
Very angry scenes here. Passengers upset that @Qatarairways staff abandoned them. Here is what is left behind #QR708 pic.twitter.com/q9ZG26TgyE

Usual suspects still waiting. No information. No food. No compassion for elderly, children. #QR708 pretty shocking @qatarairways pic.twitter.com/L8UlgbpQRj
