On 17 October, a Peninsula Airways (PenAir) Saab 2000 (N686PA) was damaged in a landing overrun accident at Unalaska (PADU), Aleutian Islands, Alaska, United States coming to rest across a street. Flight AS3296 was carrying 39 passengers and 3 crew members. Ten passengers were treated with minor injuries, two of them had received critical injuries.
Local weather at the time consisted of rain and gusty winds. The U.S. NTSB send a team of 9 to the crash site to investigate the accident.
