Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, will soon take two Boeing 787 Dreamliners on a lease basis from Kenya Airways. This is confirmed to Travel Media by sources within the airline. Oman Air will use these additional Dreamliners among others on flights between Muscat and London, a route for which it recently acquired an additional pair of slots in Heathrow for €70 millions.
Kenya Airways has nine Dreamliners into its fleet. These modern aircraft are among others used on flights between Nairobi and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Due to a large-scale reorganization, the cash-strapped Kenyan airline, partly owned by KLM, recently put its complete fleet of Boeing 777s for sale.
