Oman Air has significantly expanded its cargo network by launching five new routes within a single week, boosting connectivity across Asia and strengthening access to key regional trade markets.
Operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, the expansion includes new services from Muscat to Singapore, Tashkent, Sochi and Abu Dhabi, as well as a new Salalah–Dubai route. The additional frequencies are expected to improve the movement of time-sensitive, high-value and perishable cargo across the region.
The most significant additions for the cargo business are the new routes to Singapore and Tashkent. The Muscat–Singapore service will operate four times per week, providing direct access to one of Asia’s largest air cargo hubs and enhancing onward connections throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.
Meanwhile, the Muscat–Tashkent route will operate twice weekly, strengthening links with Central Asia and supporting growing trade in perishables and other time-critical commodities between Oman and Uzbekistan.
“The five new destinations strengthen the options available to our cargo customers, providing greater connectivity across Asia while supporting the efficient movement of time-sensitive and high-value shipments,” said Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air.
He added that the expansion also enhances the airline’s capability in the transport of perishable goods, a strategic priority as demand for Oman Air Cargo’s services continues to grow.
The remaining new services include:
According to Oman Air, the network expansion reflects growing trade flows between Oman and Asia and is intended to provide customers with greater flexibility, improved market access and more efficient routing options across the region.
