Norwegian Group carried 2.35 million passengers in April 2026, including 2.02 million on Norwegian and 336,000 on Widerøe, as demand for summer travel remained strong despite broader economic uncertainty.
Norwegian increased capacity by 3% year-on-year and achieved its best monthly punctuality performance since 2023, with 90.6% of flights departing within 15 minutes of schedule. The airline also maintained a very high regularity rate of 99.8%, while load factor slipped slightly to 82.6%, partly due to the earlier timing of Easter.
Regional carrier Widerøe reported stable capacity and improved operational performance, with punctuality rising sharply to 94.0%. Both airlines highlighted strong operational reliability and said they do not currently plan flight cancellations despite elevated fuel prices.
