Norwegian will launch a new direct route between Tromsø and Helsinki on 18 November, further expanding its international network from Northern Norway ahead of the winter travel season.
The service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, throughout the winter schedule. The new route will become Norwegian’s ninth international destination from Tromsø.
The airline said the service is designed to meet growing demand from international visitors, particularly from Asia and North America, many of whom connect through Helsinki before travelling onward to Arctic destinations. The route is expected to improve access to Tromsø’s popular winter attractions, including the Northern Lights and Arctic nature experiences.
Norwegian also said the new connection will benefit local residents and businesses by strengthening links between Northern Norway and Finland.
With the addition of Helsinki, Norwegian’s international network from Tromsø includes Copenhagen, Berlin, London, Manchester, Paris, Geneva, Milan Malpensa and Munich.
The route forms part of Norwegian’s winter 2026/27 programme, under which the airline will operate more than 200 routes to 66 destinations from Norway.
