Norwegian is accelerating its Nordic expansion for summer 2026, announcing 12 new routes across Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Combined with earlier launches this autumn, the airline will open 30 new routes next summer, operating a total of 350 routes, including 166 to and from Norway.
Nine of the new additions depart from Norway. From Oslo, Norwegian will introduce direct services to Cluj in Romania, Lamezia Terme in southern Italy and Zurich. The carrier is also expanding its presence in western Norway, with Las Palmas added from both Bergen and Stavanger.
Chief Commercial Officer Magnus Thome Maursund said the airline’s 2026 programme is now complete and designed to offer a strong mix of direct options across the Nordic region. “Norwegians love Italy, and with Oslo–Lamezia we reach route number 16 between Norway and Italy,” he said. “We are also strengthening our offer from all over the Nordics, with several new direct routes from Denmark, Sweden and Finland.”
From Bergen, Norwegian will operate 26 destinations next summer, including 23 international routes. Stavanger will be served by 16 routes, 15 of them international.
The wider Nordic expansion includes new routes from Copenhagen to Tbilisi and Tel Aviv; from Stockholm to Basel, Beirut and Montpellier; from Gothenburg to Riga; and from Helsinki to Tirana.
In total, Norwegian will offer 129 destinations across the region next summer. Sister airline Widerøe will continue to complement the network with critical domestic services and connections to Europe.
