Norwegian Group wrapped up a record-breaking summer with 2.8 million passengers in August, including 2.42 million with Norwegian and 366,000 with Widerøe. Both airlines reported strong operational performance, with punctuality above 80 percent and regularity close to 100 percent.
CEO Geir Karlsen highlighted the results as “a strong conclusion to a record summer,” pointing to well-matched capacity and high demand. Norwegian’s August load factor reached 86 percent, while Widerøe recorded 77.5 percent, setting new monthly passenger records throughout the summer.
Looking ahead, Norwegian will announce its 2026 summer programme on 10 September, featuring more than 300 routes to over 120 destinations in 35 countries. The airline also continued its fleet renewal, taking delivery of six new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft during the peak season.
