French unions UNAC (Union des Navigants de l’Aviation Civile) and SNPNC-FO (Syndicat National du Personnel Navigant Commercial), representing Norwegian Air cabin crew based at Paris CDG airport, issued a strike warning from 14 October 2019 until 5 January 2020. The unions will call upon the cabin crew to stop working on different dates during this period.
“Following our previous strike notice (24, 25 and 26 April), we continued negotiations on the remuneration of our cabin crew which resulted in a failure and a break in the social dialogue between the management and the union representatives,” a union spokesperson wrote in a statement, adding that “the current working conditions and remuneration of Norwegian’s cabin crew are alarming and the management continues to postpone the discussions on this subject. Furthermore, the management minimises the impact on the physical and mental health of the cabin crew members. We urgently ask management to solve the following problems:
– Low wages
– Roster stability”
