Starting November 26, 2025, Norse Atlantic Airways will operate the first-ever direct flight between Manchester and Bangkok, marking a major milestone for UK-Thailand connectivity. The new weekly service will depart Manchester at 23:30? and arrive in Bangkok at 18:00 local time, with return fares from just £259.
This route addresses a significant gap in the market — with over 200,000 indirect travellers annually between the two cities — and offers a convenient alternative to long connecting flights.
Norse CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen said the airline aims to unlock demand, not just follow it, calling the Manchester–Bangkok connection a “natural next step” in their long-haul expansion.
Manchester Airport hailed the launch as a “game-changer” for both leisure and business travellers, promising benefits for tourism, education, and the local economy. The route also opens new opportunities for inbound visitors from Thailand.
