Belgian group NHV adds next-generation Airbus H160 helicopters to offshore fleet

Share

NHV Group has announced the introduction of new Airbus H160 helicopters, leased from GD Helicopter Finance, as part of its fleet modernisation strategy.

The next-generation aircraft will enhance NHV’s offshore operations across Northern Europe and Africa, supporting both oil and gas missions and the growing offshore wind sector. The H160 offers improved efficiency, environmental performance, and passenger comfort compared to previous models.

Initial operations will begin in May 2026, primarily from Den Helder, with deployment flexibility across bases in Denmark, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and later the UK.

The move strengthens NHV’s operational capabilities and aligns with its broader growth strategy, focusing on modern, versatile, and cost-efficient solutions for offshore energy transport.
