On 19 May, a NewGen Airways Boeing 737-800 (HS-NGE) departed from Bangkok Don Mueang Airport for a flight to Wuxi, China. The aircraft, however, immediately headed back to Bangkok after thick smoke filled the cabin shortly after departure. Just 15 minutes after take-off, the Boeing touched down again.
