Miami Air International Boeing 737-800 skids on landing, plunging into St Johns River

On 3 May, a Miami Air International Boeing 737 (N732MA) operating flight LL293 between Guantanamo, Cuba and Jacksonville skidded on landing at Jacksonville and plunged into shallow water of the St Johns River. The aircraft did not submerge and an emergency evacuation was initiated. 

Emergency services rushed to the scene to assist the 142 passengers and crew members. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that every person is alive and accounted for.

The NTSB issued a statement that Miami Air Boeing 737-800 (N732MA) had it’s left thrust reverser unserviceable on the flight to Jacksonville Naval Air Station, FL.
