Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines have launched a strategic joint business partnership by introducing joint fare products on the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur route, marking the first phase of a broader commercial collaboration between the two carriers.
The partnership, formalised in January 2026 following regulatory approval, expands on the airlines’ longstanding codeshare agreement by offering customers greater fare choice, increased flexibility and improved connectivity across their combined networks.
The airlines also plan to progressively introduce additional customer benefits, including reciprocal lounge access, coordinated flight schedules and joint corporate travel programmes, as they deepen their cooperation.
Malaysia Aviation Group said the partnership lays the foundation for closer network integration and a more seamless travel experience for both leisure and business passengers. Singapore Airlines added that the collaboration will deliver greater value to customers while strengthening the long-standing economic and people-to-people ties between Singapore and Malaysia.
The two airlines have steadily expanded their cooperation since signing a commercial framework agreement in 2019. They currently code-share on routes across Malaysia, Singapore, Europe and South Africa, while members of the Enrich and KrisFlyer loyalty programmes have been able to earn and redeem miles on selected flights operated by either carrier since February 2024.
