On 21 October, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800 (9M-MXM), scheduled between Shanghai Pudong airport and Kuala Lumpur Airport took considerable damage when both right main gear tires disintegrated on take-off run at Shanghai Pudong’s runway 35R. The pilots decided to abort the take-off run and stopped on the runway. Passengers safely evacuated the aircraft, the airline was forced to cancel flight MH387.
