Luxair has announced that its first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft is nearing completion at Embraer’s São José dos Campos facility and will be delivered to Luxembourg by the end of 2025. Passenger operations are set to begin in January 2026.
The aircraft marks the start of Luxair’s long-term fleet renewal, with six firm orders and options for three more, aimed at expanding its European network while improving efficiency and passenger experience.
CEO Gilles Feith highlighted the milestone as a blend of sustainability, efficiency, and comfort, as well as a showcase of Luxair’s refreshed brand identity. The E195-E2 offers reduced fuel burn, lower noise levels, and a spacious 2-2 seating layout, aligning with the airline’s commitment to modern, customer-focused operations.
