Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS)1 transported 1,186,538 passengers in January, a 5.1% increase on the same month last year.
The airline operated a total of 11,226 flights during the month, 2.0% fewer than in January 2016.
Systemwide January capacity was increased by 5.8% in available seat-kilometre (ASK) terms. Monthly traffic volume, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPKs), was 7.1% up on the prior-year period.
Systemwide seat load factor improved accordingly, rising 0.9 percentage points to 77.3%.
