SWISS inaugurated its Zurich–Bengaluru route on 28 October, with flight LX140 (Airbus A330-300 reg. HB-JHK) departing at 13:34 local time. The airline will operate five weekly nonstop flights to the southern Indian city.
Bengaluru becomes SWISS’s third destination in India, alongside Delhi and Mumbai, expanding its links with a major technology and business centre. The service targets business travellers, passengers visiting friends and relatives, and leisure visitors to southern India.
Chief executive Jens Fehlinger said the route represents a targeted investment in the airline’s long-haul network and strengthens connections between Swiss businesses and the Indian market.
The new service will also continue through the summer 2027 timetable.
