SWISS International Air Lines has extended its suspension of flights to and from Dubai, citing the continued volatile security situation in the Middle East. The airline confirmed that services will now remain halted until at least 11 July 2026, a significant extension from the previously announced suspension through 31 May.
The decision reflects ongoing uncertainty in the region, with airlines continuing to reassess operational risks linked to airspace security, geopolitical instability, and potential disruptions to fuel supply chains.
Passengers affected by the extended suspension are being offered flexible rebooking options or full refunds. The airline has urged customers to contact its service centre for assistance, noting that support teams are available around the clock.
SWISS stated that it is closely monitoring developments in coordination with Swiss authorities, local partners, and its parent Lufthansa Group. The airline emphasised that safety remains its top priority and that operational decisions will continue to be guided by real-time assessments of the situation.
The move is part of a broader trend among international carriers adjusting their Middle East operations as tensions persist, with further schedule changes possible if conditions fail to stabilise.
