Share

A Swiss International Air Lines Airbus A330-300 registered HB-JHK, operating Flight LX16 from Zurich to New York JFK, diverted to Bangor International Airport in Maine on Monday after the crew reported a cockpit fire.

The aircraft landed safely at around midday following the precautionary diversion. Emergency services responded to the incident, and the runway was temporarily closed before reopening after the aircraft had come to a complete stop.

No injuries have been reported. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has opened an investigation to determine the cause of the reported cockpit fire.
