Edelweiss unveils Airbus A350 cabin redefining premium leisure travel

Share

Edelweiss has revealed a completely redesigned long-haul cabin for its incoming Airbus A350 fleet, built around the concept “More room to feel good.” The new cabin combines a calm, contemporary Swiss-inspired design with enhanced comfort across all classes and cutting-edge onboard technology.

The holistic redesign goes beyond new seating, focusing on a sense of space, relaxation and premium quality. A reduced, calming colour palette dominated by shades of blue, high-quality materials, clean architectural lines and refined details create a modern, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the aircraft’s updated exterior livery.

In Economy Class, passengers benefit from a refreshed, timeless design with subtle woven fabrics, increased seat pitch of around three centimetres and a greater recline angle, delivering noticeably improved comfort on long-haul flights.

Premium Economy is significantly upgraded, with 28 seats in a 2-3-2 layout offering around one metre of legroom. The hard-shell seats, darker colour scheme and enhanced service — including a pre-departure drink, upgraded dining served on china, included alcoholic beverages and noise-cancelling headphones — clearly position the product at a higher premium level.

Business Class features a full 1-2-1 configuration, providing direct aisle access for all passengers. Fully flat beds, a layout well suited to couples, and refined materials such as woven upholstery and wood accents define a cabin focused on comfort and leisure travel.

At the top end, the new Edelweiss Business Suite offers maximum privacy with sliding doors, large 32-inch screens, adjustable dividers in centre suites, a spacious footwell and enhanced bedding including mattress toppers and memory foam pillows. Additional storage further elevates the experience.

Across all classes, passengers will benefit from state-of-the-art technology, including complimentary high-speed Starlink internet, 4K screens with Bluetooth audio connectivity, extensive in-flight entertainment, human-centric lighting, and comprehensive power options. Wireless charging is available in Premium Economy and above, while high-output USB-C ports support laptop charging at every seat.

The first Airbus A350 equipped with the new cabin is scheduled to enter service in December 2026, with bookings opening in summer 2026. Fleet-wide completion is planned by summer 2027. Edelweiss positions the new cabin as a clear evolution of its brand, combining Swiss quality, modern comfort and a premium long-haul holiday experience.
