Edelweiss will add five Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet in 2027–2028: three to replace older A320s (in service for 26 years) and two for network growth, bringing the short-haul fleet to 18 aircraft.
The A320neo features Pratt & Whitney engines, improved aerodynamics with sharklets, and quieter operation, offering longer range, higher efficiency, and flexible deployment at airports with shorter runways or high temperatures. Passengers will also benefit from enhanced cabin comfort and storage.
This expansion continues Edelweiss’ modernisation programme, strengthens its Zurich hub, and supports sustainable, technology-driven growth, improving operational flexibility and competitiveness across the airline’s route network.
