Edelweiss has inaugurated a new direct route from Zurich to Halifax, with the maiden flight taking off on Thursday, July 3. The launch was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Zurich Airport. Flights will operate twice weekly—on Thursdays and Sundays—until mid-October.
Halifax becomes Edelweiss’ third Canadian destination, alongside Vancouver and Calgary.
The new route opens access to Atlantic Canada, known for its coastal charm, natural beauty, and vibrant culture. Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, offers attractions like historic citadels, scenic waterfronts, and access to outdoor destinations such as Cape Breton Highlands and picturesque fishing villages.
