Edelweiss expands winter 2026/27 schedule with more Nordic and long-haul capacity

Share

Edelweiss Air is significantly expanding its winter 2026/27 flight programme from Zurich, adding frequencies, extending seasons, and increasing capacity across key leisure destinations in Northern Europe and long-haul markets.

In Finnish Lapland, services are being expanded notably: Kittilä will start earlier in late November with up to five weekly flights during peak periods, while Rovaniemi will also begin earlier and gain additional frequency, and Ivalo will see increased peak-season service. Demand-driven increases are also planned for Kuusamo.

In Scandinavia, Edelweiss is strengthening its footprint with more capacity to Northern Norway and Sweden, including daily winter service to Tromsø, an additional peak-season frequency to Luleå, and extended or added seasonal operations to Bergen.

Long-haul winter sun destinations are also being reinforced. Malé (Maldives) will receive up to four weekly flights during peak season, while Colombo (Sri Lanka) will increase to up to three weekly services. The airline is also extending its season to Windhoek (Namibia), starting earlier than before.

Across Europe and the Mediterranean, capacity increases include extended seasons and more frequencies to destinations such as the Canary Islands, Greece, Portugal, Morocco, and Italy, with several routes receiving additional rotations or extended winter coverage.

In total, Edelweiss will offer 69 destinations across 33 countries during the winter season, running from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027, reinforcing its position as Switzerland’s leading leisure carrier.
