Lufthansa welcomes first Dreamliner with Allegris cabin in Frankfurt

Share

Lufthansa has received its first Boeing 787-9 “Dreamliner” equipped with the new Allegris cabin at Frankfurt Airport, marking a major step in its long-haul fleet modernisation. Up to nine additional Dreamliners expected in Frankfurt by year-end.

The aircraft, named “Frankfurt am Main” with registration D-ABPF, will be deployed on European routes in the short term. It will begin scheduled service to Toronto in mid-October.

The fuel-efficient jet consumes about 25% less kerosene than its predecessor and is part of Lufthansa’s order for 29 Dreamliners and 78 new Allegris-equipped long-haul aircraft overall.

The Allegris cabin features redesigned Business Class suites with more privacy, personal storage, and larger screens, alongside upgraded Premium Economy and Economy. Allegris has already been in service on Munich routes since the summer of 2024.
