Starting 26 October 2025, Lufthansa will relaunch three weekly non-stop flights between Munich and Riyadh using a 293-seat Airbus A350-900. Flight LH640 will depart Munich at 21:45, arriving in Riyadh at 04:50 the next day, with returns at 06:25, arriving in Munich at 10:25 for onward global connections.
The move coincides with the 65th anniversary of Lufthansa’s first flight to Saudi Arabia. Together with Eurowings and ITA Airways, the Lufthansa Group will operate 22 weekly flights to Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah, contributing to 120+ weekly connections across the Middle East.
Riyadh, home to nearly 8 million people, is a cultural, economic, and political hub hosting major events such as the Riyadh Season, World Expo 2030, and the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2034.
