Lufthansa is expanding its special 100th anniversary fleet with two additional aircraft receiving the commemorative livery: an Airbus A320neo and an Airbus A350-900. Both feature the distinctive blue fuselage with an oversized white crane, integrated “100” markings, and the dates “1926 | 2026,” following the design first unveiled on the Boeing 787-9.
The A320neo (D-AING) is expected to arrive in Frankfurt on 19 January 2026 and will enter immediate service, with its first flight scheduled to Larnaca. The A350-900 (D-AIXL) is due to arrive in Munich on 3 February 2026.
Meanwhile, the Boeing 787-9 “Papa Uniform” (D-ABPU), delivered in December, begins regular operations on 20 January 2026, debuting on the Frankfurt–Mumbai route as a flying ambassador for the anniversary year.
Lufthansa plans to further grow the anniversary fleet by autumn 2026 with three more specially painted aircraft: an Airbus A380, a Boeing 747-8, and its first Airbus A350-1000, expected to be delivered in October.
