Lufthansa will expand its Onboard Delights catering programme from 1 September 2026 by introducing five hot meals for purchase in Economy Class on short- and medium-haul flights lasting at least two hours.
Passengers will be able to choose between beef roulade with potato dumplings, chicken teriyaki, tortellini with tomato sauce and courgette, Dönninghaus currywurst or a HANS IM GLÜCK cheeseburger. The dishes will be available exclusively by advance order between four weeks and 24 hours before departure.
The beef, chicken and pasta dishes will include a dessert, while the currywurst will be served with a bread roll. Pre-ordering will guarantee that the selected meal is available on board.
Lufthansa is also expanding its advance meal-selection service for long-haul Business Class passengers. Previously offered primarily on flights departing Frankfurt and Munich, it will become available on most return flights to Germany from 1 September.
Business Class passengers will be able to select from six main courses, up from three, during the same four-week-to-24-hour booking window.
