About one month ago, on 13 November, one of the oldest Airbus A330 aircraft left Brussels Airport for her final destination: Pinal Airpark. On 28 October, the 25-year-old Airbus A330 performed her last commercial flights for Brussels Airlines as SN501 and SN502, between New York JFK and Brussels. For a business trip I had to visit Los Angeles and Phoenix but saw a “window of opportunity” to head to Tucson, Arizona to check out OO-SFN at her retirement home.

After 25 years of commercial service, Brussels Airlines’ OO-SFN is leaving for Pinal Airpark

Sierra Fox November is well tucked in between two former Lufthansa Airbus A340-600s, both engines and the APU (auxiliary power unit) have already been removed as well as the interior and the flight deck instruments.
