Lufthansa Group airlines have extended their suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until 18 May, following a 4 May missile strike by Yemen’s Houthi rebels that hit near Ben Gurion Airport, injuring six.
The suspension, initially set to end May 6 and then May 11, affects Lufthansa and its subsidiaries, including Eurowings, Swiss, Austrian, and Brussels Airlines.
The Houthis claimed the attack was in solidarity with Palestinians and in retaliation against U.S. actions in the region.
