For the first time, Eurowings has recorded more than a billion euros in sales via eurowings.com. This makes Europe’s fastest growing airline one of the largest and most popular e-commerce portals in Germany.
There are many advantages to booking online via the website for the airline’s customers: they benefit from exclusive price campaigns, frequent flyers can choose between miles on the ‘Miles & More’ and ‘Boomerang’ frequent flyer programmes, and a personalised customer account makes booking considerably faster and enables easy online check-in.
“The increasing usage figures show us that our customers appreciate our website. They are our incentive for continuously expanding the exclusive offers at eurowings.com. The aim is to offer our customers a seamless and convenient shopping experience across all channels as part of an integrated customer journey,” says Oliver Wagner, Eurowings Chief Commercial Officer, commenting on the airline’s success. “This is why we are investing in customised digital services with our ‘MakeMyWay’ digital programme.”
Functional scope and user-friendliness are impressive: the Eurowings app was recently given top marks in a Focus Money test comparing 40 smartphone applications.
Eurowings is also continuing to drive the wave of digitalisation forward in-house and is currently advertising new jobs in the airline’s digital division. As a result, Eurowings is already one of the most attractive employers in the digital sector in the Cologne/Bonn area.
