Eurowings to launch first-ever Berlin-Kittilä route this Winter

Share

Eurowings is set to introduce a new direct winter route between Berlin, Germany and Kittilä Airport in Finnish Lapland, marking the first scheduled flight connection between the two destinations. The inaugural flight will take off on January 31, 2026, with weekly service continuing every Saturday until March 21, 2026. The flights will be operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

The new Berlin–Kittilä route expands Eurowings’ growing winter network to northern Finland, enhancing access to one of Lapland’s most popular winter destinations. The airline already offers seasonal connections from Germany to other Lapland airports, including Ivalo, Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, and Helsinki, making it a key player in meeting increasing travel demand to the region.

According to the Reiseanalyse 2024 study commissioned by Visit Finland, interest in Finland among German travelers is at an all-time high. The report reveals that up to 3.5 million Germans are considering a holiday in Finland within the next three years, a trend that Eurowings is clearly aiming to support with its expanded route offering for the winter season.
