Approach to the metropolises of Europe’s top football clubs: Eurowings will be flying thousands of football fans from 16 September 2019 to the guest appearances of their favourite teams throughout Europe: During the group phase of the European competitions, Eurowings has specifically increased flight capacity on its Europe-wide route network and offers football fans from Germany, England, Austria, Italy, Spain and Hungary a quick and easy journey to the respective venues.
To date, 18 additional flights have already been scheduled: The Eurowings “fan pilots” not only fly between Barcelona and Düsseldorf as well as Cologne/Bonn, but they also bring London fans to the Bavarian capital Munich. In addition, Eurowings is expanding its capacity on many existing connections by deploying larger aircraft – for example, on flights from Düsseldorf to Milan or Prague.
A very special highlight awaits fans of the European defending champion: for the first time, they can fly exclusively with Eurowings from Liverpool directly to the Mozart city of Salzburg for a match. In Salzburg, Eurowings now operates one of four bases outside Germany.
Eurowings has set up a special task force to provide these additional flights at short notice: Specialists from various fields work closely together here to ensure, in cooperation with the respective airports, that football fans can travel easily, quickly and punctually to the matches of their teams. The Eurowings flights can now be booked at https://www.eurowings.com/fan-pilots.
Depending on the individual qualification of the teams in the next phases, Eurowings will check whether additional flights can be provided.
