Eurowings, part of the Lufthansa Group, will introduce a new ‘Premium BIZ seat’ for medium-haul flights starting November 2025, debuting on the Berlin–Dubai route. Installed in Airbus A320neo aircraft, these 2×2 seats from Italian firm Geven offer enhanced comfort, privacy, and ergonomic support—a significant upgrade from the typical 2×3 economy layout.
This marks the first time a German airline offers premium seating on narrow-body jets. The Premium BIZ seats (eight per aircraft) will be part of Eurowings’ expanded BIZclass and bookable from August 2025. Additional fare options include standard BIZclass, SMART, and BASIC.
CEO Jens Bischof highlights the move as a new comfort benchmark in the value airline sector. The initiative is part of a broader product and service upgrade and aligns with Eurowings’ upcoming fleet renewal, including the arrival of 40 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft from 2027.
