Eurowings has introduced a comprehensive new corporate design aimed at better reflecting its evolution from a traditional low-cost carrier into a European value airline focused on comfort, flexibility and a more relaxed travel experience.
Built around the brand promise “More ease for everyone“, the redesigned identity features a simplified and more digital-friendly design system intended to improve clarity, accessibility and consistency across all customer touchpoints, from booking to arrival. The airline says the updated visual identity will deliver a more seamless and recognisable brand experience across its website, mobile app, airports and onboard environments.
Central to the new brand identity is the enhanced use of the airline’s “Wings” symbol, which will now serve not only as a logo element but also as a key visual feature across advertising, digital interfaces and multimedia content. Eurowings has also introduced a new proprietary typeface, Eurowings Type, designed to improve legibility while giving the brand a distinctive visual character.
The refreshed design retains the airline’s signature Burgundy colour while introducing gradients and transparency effects to create a more dynamic and contemporary appearance. Inclusive design principles have also been integrated throughout the new system to improve accessibility across digital platforms.
The new corporate identity will be rolled out progressively across all brand touchpoints. The redesign was developed by the Eurowings team in collaboration with Lufthansa Group’s digital agency Oscar Bravo, with support from branding specialists Josefine Freund and Simon Jasper Philipp, while the new typeface was created together with type designer Hannes von Döhren.
