From 3 July 2019, Eurowings will be connecting the NRW state capital with Las Vegas for the first time. A long-haul Brussels Airlines Airbus A330 or A340 will take off for Las Vegas on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – the return flight from Las Vegas will land in Düsseldorf on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

With the new Las Vegas destination, Eurowings is further expanding its long-haul service at Düsseldorf Airport. Currently, DUS passengers can travel with Eurowings to New York, Fort Myers, Miami (USA), Cancun (Mexico) and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). To continue its growth, the airline is positioning a total of seven long-haul aircraft in the NRW state capital with the start of the 2018/19 winter flight schedule. In addition to its strong range of short- and medium-haul routes, the airline is planning up to 140 long-haul departures per month to attractive long-haul destinations in America and the Caribbean. This makes Düsseldorf not only the largest Eurowings location, but also the largest long-haul base for the low-cost airline.

As the number 1 carrier in NRW, we are delighted to be able to further expand our long-haul destinations from Düsseldorf with Las Vegas. Our customers in Germany’s largest catchment area with over 18 million inhabitants thus benefit from an attractive range of low-cost direct connections,” says Oliver Wagner, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer of Eurowings.

The BIZclass is always on board

Passengers can also enjoy the innovative BIZclass on the new connection to Las Vegas and can – uniquely for a low-cost airline – look forward to a first-class flight experience: at the touch of a button, the comfort seat can be converted into a fully flat two-metre-long bed.

At the end of April 2018, Eurowings was the first low-cost airline to introduce the BIZclass, a full-fledged business class product. In the course of this adjustment, the previous BEST fare was converted to the BIZclass on short- and medium-haul routes. For the customers, this means a consistently high-quality

A product that includes lounge access, priority services, HON Circle miles, free choice of food and drinks on board, increased baggage allowance (2x 32 kg) and a seat in rows 1 to 3 with more legroom.

Las Vegas – a top destination for German USA vacationers

The gold digger and gambler city of Las Vegas is one of the most attractive and popular destinations for German vacationers to the USA. Located in the desert of the US state of Nevada, Las Vegas became an important stopover for wagon trains and railways in the 19th century due to its groundwater resources. With the construction of the Hoover dam at the beginning of the 20th century and the legalization of gambling in Nevada, the foundation stone of today’s entertainment metropolis was laid. The first hotels and casinos were built, for which Las Vegas is still known today. The city offers visitors a fascinating glittering world, which is above all shaped by the numerous and legendary casinos.
